Blocking someone on TikTok is a straightforward process. Here’s how you can do it:
Method 1: Blocking Directly from a Profile
- Open the TikTok app on your device.
- Go to the profile of the person you want to block. You can do this by searching for their username or tapping on their profile picture from a video or comment.
- Tap the three dots (···) or the ellipsis (···) in the top-right corner of their profile page. This will open a menu with options.
- Select “Block” from the menu. A confirmation prompt will appear.
- Confirm the action by tapping “Block” again. The person will now be blocked, and they won’t be able to view your profile, follow you, or interact with your content.
Method 2: Blocking from a Comment or Message
- Find the comment or message from the person you want to block.
- Long-press on the comment or open the message and tap the three dots (···) icon in the top-right corner.
- Select “Block” from the options.
- Confirm the action by tapping “Block” again.
Unblocking Someone
If you change your mind, you can unblock someone by:
- Go to your profile and tap the three lines (≡) in the top-right corner to access “Settings and Privacy.”
- Tap on “Privacy,” then scroll down and select “Blocked accounts.”
- Find the person you want to unblock and tap “Unblock” next to their name.
Blocking someone on TikTok will prevent them from interacting with you in any way, ensuring your experience on the platform remains positive.
